Good point Jen! I felt very weak and lost a lot of weight while I was off dairy...it's hard to find foods that are filling enough, especially if you're off meat too.

Sorry about that-

He has been breastfed since she was born and we have introduced dairy at six nine and now twelve months to no improvement so we hope imlije you and others have said she may grow out of it over time.

She also has get so I have not eaten brand, citrus, hocokaye, strawberries, and tomato products this whole time.

My diet consists mainly if a good cereal with half a banana cranberry juice and some frozen organic spinach for breakfast, graham crackers as snacks or almonds or a Barbara's snack bar or a fruit smoothie with frozen blueberries half a banana dozen oranges and almond milk for snacks, a whole wheat bagel with almond butter an apple and either quinoa or a good turkey lung mea for lunch and for dinner either a free range roast chicken pieces with quinoa or brown rice, a sweet potato, or a dinner of an Asian pasta noodle stove top mix wih chicken breast chunks with carrots and celery and sometimes other green veggies. Sometimes I change out the roast chicken meat or salmon from Costco and the rice or quinoa for Amy's frozen dairy and soy free Mac and cheese which is really tasty. Those are my main meals that I rotate. Hope this might help some one.

We are now going to start weaning from daytime nursings and after that going to bed and night time nursings si that i may eat more foods. I would love to keep nursing ether at least in evenings and overnight for the benefits to her and experience for me, I have still loved nursing this whole time, but don't know if I can take the diet more than these next fre weaning months. It had been along time already.

We are trying to decide what milk to give her as I start to wean and she doesn't eat a lot of food yet so we are hoping she will eat enough now and get enough protein calcium and vitamins through her diet and a milk product. We were thinking maybe coconut milk and vary that with rice milk or oat milk. Any thoughts on that? She seems fine with me having almond milk this whole time so we don't think e has a nut allergy.

Sorry to be so long but bought this might help an we would also love any ideas.

Good luck to all! it had been Worth the sacrifice for the health benefits of nursing and the great experience.

Oh, and beans. He eats lots of beans, fruit, veggies and grains. I made him a vegan cake for his first birthday. I never imagined my life like this. Our first son isn't allergic to anything...

Brittany - my son has the same allergies. He and I (because I'm still breastfeeding him at 14 months) are on a diet without all those things. He likes vanilla coconut milk, and it is similar in fat, and sugar to whole cows milk (not protein, though). But, he can get protein from meat and soy foods. It is hard, but our allergist said there's a good chance he will outgrow the egg and dairy allergy, but the peanut/tree nut allergy might be lifelong. :-(

Brittany - Yikes. That's a lot of allergies! Poor thing (and poor you). Is there a hope she will outgrow the allergies or are they long-term? (just wondering what she will drink after age 2)?

Wish I would have viewed this article way back when my baby was first diagnosed with food allergies. It is very helpful:) my baby's food allergies are so severe we see a dietician every three months and it was recommended that I pump breast milk till she is at least two. I am still on the fence about this one. My fear is I will never be able to wean her off. And I will be "that" mom in kindergarten bringing breastmilk for my kid. Her allergies include milk, egg, peanut, tree nuts, all types of melon - to include cucumber, oat, and mustard. Any suggestions?
