Funny Breastfeeding Positions

My high need son had breastfeeding issues from the very beginning... the morning after giving birth I tried to nurse him and he got so upset that he cried until he turned blue from the lack of oxygen and got sent to the NICU! That was just the beginning of latching-on issues and lots of screaming, kicking and squirming at the breast.
He is now 7 months old and VASTLY improved since then, but sometimes he still does the darndest things while breastfeeding. I usually nurse him lying down since he may fall asleep for a nap if I'm lucky, and lately he will flip on his tummy with his neck craned to the side and his bottom up in the air. In that position, he makes his "I'm eating now" noise which sounds something like, "Reeeeeerr Reeeeeerr Reeeeeerr Reeeeeerr!" He then proceeds to twist his head and pull off to a sitting position, only deciding he's not done yet so he'll grab the boob and attempt to nurse sitting up! (Repeat)
Anyone else have a similar experience?
