Torticollis?

Hi everyone,
Has anyone here's baby been diagnosed with Torticollis? I've been doing some reading today on reflux (GERD) and there appears to be a connection between Torticollis and GERD. I know at least one person on our board experienced this, but am curious is anyone else did?

Hi-
I am a nanny, not a mom ;-D
Just joined this group- and am glad to have found you all!
Last year I was a nanny for a little boy who was 4 and half months- and had torticollis.
His head was a bit flat in the back-(he also had a pretty big head- but most babies do..but his was a bit larger than the norm) but the Ped. was not concerned.
I also noticed his arms were VERY tight- and felt that was not right for a 5 month old.
He did not roll over- and had very limited tummy time before I began to be his nanny when he was 4 and half months old.
He also was born by C-Section-and they had to use a vaccum type divice to get him out-and by doing so- it caused a bump on the left side of head toward the back.)
(his mom is very thin- and the doctors commented that the baby was very tight in the womb.)
The mom kept asking about the bump- but the DR. kept re-assuring her it would be fine- and the bump would go down.
At 4 months- the mom was really concerned and wanted to get a helmet- but the DR. then said- Sorry it's too late- the bones in skull have calcified and he is just going to have a bump there for the rest of his life.)
(thankfully he has a good set of hair and you can't see the bump anymore.)
After being is nanny for almost 2 months, I noticed the torticollis was getting worse and worse- and he saw the PED at his 6 month check up- who still did not think it was a big deal-and just suggested we keep switching feeding sides, and diaper changes, and crib sleeping.
Thankfully I urged the mom to just get a second opionion and soon after at almost 7 and half months he stared PT - 3 times a week for about 2 months.
He did have bad boughts of GERD - most severe at 3 months. (he was fomula fed with the most sensitive brand.)
At 5 months, His Ped. suggested adding rice ceral to his bottles- to make it thicker and easier for him to keep down. Adding the cereral did help- and of course letting his bottle settle in his tummy for 20 min. by keeping him upright- and making sure he burped many times was key- and helped him not to spit up as much. Also not putting any tight waisted pants on helped him to be more comfortable.
He went to PT for the Torticollis at about 6 and a half months-for about 2 months- and quickly got better-
The PT said it was key to work on the loose side- and she gave us a bunch of excercise for us to do at home- by lifting his arms/legs/crossing them, holding him in a side position where his one leg and arm would just dangle freely- and holding those poses for a few seconds.
Embarrassed to say- we sometimes were lax about doing the excercises at home- and after a month the torticollis came back.
PT- said she never saw or heard of it coming back- so at 9 months- he went to PT for another two months-
and at 10 months he was fine and his body continued to stay loose- and he started to really be more mobile and able to roll over. (he was able to sit up at about 6 months with the help of a boppy and pillows on the side for support. Started sitting really well on his own at about 8 and a half months old. He never craweld much and once able to stand- he just took off running -and has not stopped since. (that was a hard phase, as he was unstoppable and used to fall down and hit his head ALOT! Poor little guy had a REALLY big head!)
The GERD disspeared on it's own at about 9-10 months too. Once he really started eating more foods on a regular basis.
P.S....
No meds were ever given to help with his GERD.
