Being a high need "always carry me everywhere or I will scream" baby, my husband and I have tried so many different carriers for Cole that I believe I may have lost track.  Lets see...there was the Original Baby Bjorn (in Chocolate), the Petunia Pickle Bottom Sojourn Sling (in Afternoon in Katmandu), the Peanut Shell Sling (in Chocolate/Pale Blue microfleece), the Snugli (in navy), and yes, even my parents' very VERY old Gerry Carrier (backpack style).  Out of all of these options, we loved the PPB sling for its super stretchy feel, but once Cole reached about 2 months he was pretty much over most sling style carriers (unfortunately).  I do still use this sling as a hip carrier now, which is nice (especially for quick errands), but back in December I started looking for a more updated version of my mom's Gerry Carrier.  Yes, it was definitely hideous, but boy did it serve a purpose!  It was awesome how Cole's vast bodyweight (lol) was spread out and basically put on my lower back instead of my shoulders, allowing me to carry him much longer.

So while on vacation my mom and I walked into a cute little boutique in Marco Island, Florida and what did I see on the mannequin in the front of the shop?  Why I saw the Kokopax carrier (what looked to be an updated Gerry Carrier)!  It was BEAUTIFUL...below is a picture of the style we first saw:

Immediately after we got home I looked it up online but was saddened to see that like many awesome, innovative baby products on the market out there, it had a price tag to match ($150).  After thinking about it long and hard, my husband and I decided to take the plunge and purchase the Classic Carrier in Bubbles.  We LOVE our Kokopax and would recommend it to anyone with a baby, especially if they are at the top of the growth chart...

Love the look of this thing!  I've never heard of it. We loved the Ergo, same principles as the Kokopax. Thanks for sharing the pics!
