When my son was crying all the time, my husband and I spent many nights in front of the computer looking for resources to help him. We googled colic, reflux, causes of crying, how to calm a crying baby, cure for colic, etc, etc. Usually one of us would be in the living room with Sammy, trying to calm him down, while the other was in the kitchen scouring the Internet.

It didn't take long before we knew more about the causes of crying than our doctors (this says more about our doctors' knowledge of 'colic' than about us!).

Below are some of the websites we found the most helpful.

Dr. Sears
Kellymom
Dr. Jack Newman Breastfeeding Videos
Period of Purple Crying
The Fussy Baby Network
Postpartum Support

There must be more...which websites did/do you find helpful?

Honestly, I would get on the internet for about 20 minutes every few days.  That was it.  There was just constant screaming and my dd would only take 20 minute naps.  She wasn't feeding well also, so I was constantly BFing.  She was extremely particular, also, about the position of BFing, so I couldn't use the computer at the same time.  I was completely out of touch.  I was having feeding problems so I did go to the La Leche League site.  I went to some of the sites you mentioned, but so often the info was just so general, that it didn't seem to apply.

I totally second all of those sites you listed!  We even emailed Dr. Jack Newman about our strange breastfeeding issue.  Unfortunately he told me what everyone else said ("oh, it is a latch problem") which turned out to be incorrect, but his videos are EXCELLENT!  I used www.BabyCenter.com sometimes, but really only for typical information as their info on fussiness is very general and didn't pertain to Cole.  I can remember googling random phrases and coming up with lone entries in forums where clearly the mom had a super high-need child, like ours, but no one else in the forum could relate to it AT ALL!  So sad...but not here ;-)

I agree, Amanda, about Baby Center being a good site. They have some info on colic and high need babies, and they also have some decent forums.  The thing I didn't like about their forums though, and the reason why I started this one, is I thought there was a need for a forum that dealt with colic, infant fussiness in general, and high need & spirited babies/toddlers. They have separate forums for each of those topics, but none that take you from infant to toddler.

IVillage also has some good forums!
