My name is Darcie, and I am still recovering from colic (my daughter is 7). When she was born in 2003 I went through a very similar experience to Holly (I read about this forum in the abbynews and thought it was awesome that people are providing this type of support). I developed empathic sleep teaching or EST as a generalized method of sleep teaching babies with colicky personalities. There is an ebook that is currently being updated, the current version is offered free at www.lulu.com/est. At the time I was finsihing my university degree so I incorporated my baby's sleep needs into a practicum working with young parents and their babies on sleep. I wrote a research paper that outlined the need for support for mother's coping with babies and their crying so I know the need for this is great.
Way to go Holly!
